Craige Residence Hall is one of four dormitories, along with Morrison, Ehringhaus and Hinton James Residence Halls, that comprise the South Campus residence community, which operated as a Black student-created social space. Preston Dobbins, the first president of the Black Student Movement, lived in Craige Dormitory in 1967 when the organization was created.
