Document Description: In October 2015, the Real Silent Sam Coalition held a continuous reading of slave narratives in front of the Confederate Monument for 24 hours before University Day. Participants organized the readings to create a space of healing and draw attention to the white supremacy inherent in the Confederate Monument.
