Coalition for Economic Justice Protest Signs at the President’s House

Document Description: Following a series of protests from the UNC Housekeepers’ Association and the student-led Coalition for Economic Justice on University Day 1997, the University began working to meet the stipulations that they had agreed to a year ago, including raising pay. The photograph displays signs made by the Coalition for Economic Justice that were placed on the steps of the President’s House on Franklin Street following the October 12, 1997 protest at Memorial Hall.
