Speeches At the Conclusion of Foodworkers’ Strike

Document Description: Howard Fuller, Preston Dobbins, and Elizabeth Brooks address the crowd of supporters of the foodworkers at the dissolution of the first foodworkers strike on March 21, 1969. This clip is from the 1990 documentary Women Behind the Lines. Seven months later, Fuller founded Malcolm X Liberation University, which would cement his role as a leader in the national Black Power and pan-Africanist movements.
