Document Description: Students Seeking Historical Truth was founded by Kristi Booker, a president of the Black Student Movement and graduate of 2002. Booker had been inspired to create the group after a conversation she had with Yonni Chapman, then a masters graduate of the History Department and local social justice activist, from whom she had had learned of Saunders’s involvement with the Ku Klux Klan.
