Document Description: On December 11, 1968, the Black Student Movement presented Chancellor Carlyle Sitterson with a list of twenty-three demands intended to give Black students and Black workers greater opportunity and representation at the University. These initial 1968 demands have been a touchstone for other student organizations and future iterations of the BSM in development of other student demands.
